This is so useful -- I have never heard of the 'fawn' response. I really relate..... your blog has helped me make more sense of the anxiety I have needed to ask Jesus to minister to during my time of sabbatical as I grapple for the first time in 33 years without a defined role/job/etc outside the home and face the prospect of my kids becoming increasingly independent and 'launching' from home (so good but also scary!). This time and space is such a gift -- yet I am so used to channelling stuff into achieving, pleasing, fawning! Thank you for reminding me during those moments that a) it is ok and b) the Lord is here, providing comfort, wisdom and TRUTH X

Thank you for sharing this KB. I know what it's like to be between seasons (which is a season in itself!) There are many opportunities to press in and grow but it can be very painful too. I appreciate your vulnerability. ❤️

I liked that line myself although I certainly wish it weren't true! 🙄 Thanks for your encouragement, Rachel! It means a lot. Have you noticed what triggers you?
