Who Am I / About Me
Hi, my name is Jeanie Hosken.
I’m uniquely equipped with experience and education that allow me to help the whole person—not just the physical, spiritual, or emotional, but all of them. I am a registered dietitian, have been certified as a fitness instructor and personal trainer, and have two master’s degrees: one in counseling and the other in divinity. I am also a certified Connections Codes coach.
I have had to overcome trauma in my life and know firsthand how the pain manifests in every area of life. Despite having achieved worldly success, I’ve dealt with crippling insecurities that have manifested in a variety of ways, including perfectionism, anxiety, and relationship challenges. I’ve had to apply everything I’ve learned to myself and my relationships. I have experienced tremendous healing through my relationship with Jesus. It has been a game changer for me and the clients I work with. I love sharing my personal experience and professional expertise with others.
I’m passionate about marriage and family and have decades of experience teaching how to build healthy families. I have been married to my amazing husband, Jeff, for thirty-eight years. I have two adult children who are also married. I LOVE being Gigi (grandma) to two grandsons. Because of the trauma I’ve experienced, I’m determined to help other people build family legacies that reflect God’s kingdom and glory.

I wish I could say that happened ages ago, like in high school calculus or my statistics class in college, but no, this happened just a few years ago in one of the few remaining classes I had to take before I graduated from seminary. Worse yet, the exam was in my New Testa…
The Best Therapy in the World
·Sunday was a particularly hard day for me. Seven of the eight core emotions—sad, hurt, anger, fear, guilt, shame, and loneliness—swirled in my heart in varying degrees throughout the day. To be fair, joy was sprinkled in there, too; however, by the end of the day, a difficult text and an emotional interaction with Jeff zapped me of any remaining energy …
Your Body is a Temple
·Someone recently asked me to watch a video on Instagram to get my opinion about a shot that is supposed to help people lose weight. I agreed to view it despite my knee-jerk reaction of wanting to dismiss it outright. I’ve been a dietitian for a long time—forty years, to be exact—and I’ve seen almost every trend known to man when it comes to people tryin…
Body Talk
·The lump in my upper back began to throb as soon as I opened my eyes, and my neck stiffened in sympathy.
